Battlefield 3 vs. Modern Warfare 3

Game: Battlefield 3
Why: Just watch the trailer and compare to MW3 just from that. MW3 is using the same engine SINCE 2005. I agree MW3 will sell more than BF3 though, but BF3 will attract more suitable aged gamers and more mature gamers.
Because: BF3 is introducing its new "Destruction 3.0" + "Frostbite 2.0". Which means, epic graphic improvements since BFBC and BFBC2, and destructable landscapes. But to add to that, BF3 is about a sequel to BF2 but with a Campaign. So that means BF3 will have VEHICLES that you pilot yourselves, ENORMOUS BATTLEFIELDS, customizable soldiers as well as customizable weapons[?], etc.

Modern Warfare 3 looks awesome but doesn't look like an actual war game, but basically a follow along story, and Battlefield 3 looks awesome and it has the feel you are in a war, not a movie.

Plus, Modern Warfare 3 is for people who like to run around then die suddenly in a small battlefield. But in BF3, it's a huge scaled battlefield where each teams have one commander [I think it will come back from BF2] that can direct artillery, UAV scans, etc....

im srry to many. This maybe a disgrace to u all. It may make waffles cry. But i would rather play mw3. I must know what happened. Besides, mw3 is pretty realistic. People die pretty quickly from gunfire. The places are small for more action. To me the game is fun. Ok, now you guys can weep. :D

Oh I forgot to add as well; people who would choose MW3 and other games over BF3 obviously never even played BF2 before.

Why: I am never going to buy another CoD after Black Ops, it was a worthless piece of crap I've ever payed for. And CoD have been using the same crappy engine ( same graphics, no/crapy ragdoll physics ) .
Because: Battlefiend 2 was awesome.

also... i believe they are just milking call of duty now, the first ones were fun but then....

Battlefield 3 hands down.
These games were made for 2 different reasons.
Battlefield 3: Create a well polished revolutionary game that would be the successor to Bf2.
MW3: Pull something out of there asses so that Activities would make infinite monies.
The truth is, Call of Duty is just a brand name to make money.
In fact, mw3 uses the same engine Cod2 did.
Just a new story new guns new perks. OMFG GHOST SO KEWL.

I most certainly prefer BF3 over MW3. Both SP and MP. MW3's SP is just too dramatic for me. I'm a gamer, not some John McClane or Rambo guy. Yet both of them have the good stuff. Which one's gonna get my money, well I would say BF3 but I'm a greedy guy. I wanna know what both of them has. So the plan is -
Buy BF3, pingaz MW3.

Game: Battlefield 3
Why: I played Bf2 and it was awesome
Why = Because ?
BF2 was THE shit. It had awesome multiplayer with vehicles, classes, and functions. Even a few of the mods were cool too like AIX and Project Reality. I'm glad they added single player now cause it feels kind of weird that none of the battlefield games (excluding bfbc) had a campaign. Battlefield is more of a strategic and requires teamwork kind of game. For ex. Special Ops has C4's to blow objects/vehicles up, Sniper gives long range killing support, Assault has a grenade launcher, Support gives ammo and suppresses enemies, Medics revive and heal teammates, and Anti-tank is self explanatory. Vehicles also have to work with the troops to give more firepower and support, especially jets and helicopters since they give air support and keep air superiority.
MW3... eh... I say it's more for like run and gun kind of game. Something that gives action right away and gives you a "rush".

BF2 has a breakable and damagable world
BF2 has vehicles
BF2 has a vastly superior PC multiplayer interface
MW2 has a more powerful storyline
MW2 has movie-like sequences that dry me entirely
MW2 is simplier; easier to pickup

So MW3 I see New York City, London, Paris, and a German city I don't recognize.
So far Crysis 2 and MW3 are the only games I've seen that include the new World Trade Center in NYC.
Edit: I'm assuming that the German city is Berlin, seeing as the Game Designers don't know any other cities in Europe other than the Capitals.

lol, what he meant was he wanted to finish the rest of the story. At the end of MW2, that guy (I forgot his name lol) and Cpt. Price take Soap off to the helicopter and supposedly go to a safe house. Meanwhile, the US is still in a major war with Russia and Sgt. Foley, Dunn, and Ramirez going around the place.

So far, the majority of votes are either BF3...OR BF3 for MP but MW3 for SP...
I have agreed that MW3 will have a pretty good storyline to continue it's sequel on MW2, but I will probably watch every single of its campaign on Youtube (like I did to Portal, Portal 2, HL, HL2, HL2 EP: 1,2, and next will be 3).
The feeling you get watching it all online is equivalent to just playing it by yourself...plus MW3 will probably cost a lot like the rest of its sequel and if I had like 50-70 bucks and had to choose between MW3 and BF3, I'd choose BF3 for its *NEW* Campaign + Multiplayer.
MW3's multiplayer is kinda boring and gets you bored fairly fast...especially the lack of hack protection just like MW2...
BF3 will probably make you stick to the game for YEARS...and with 2 years of playing BF2, I've only saw ONE hacker and nobody cried about it either.
But like I said, MW3's storyline will probably be awesome...but we never seen a storyline in BF2 before...so BF3 will probably be another good storyline.

Yeah, but I'd choose BF3 with my 50 bucks and watch the rest of the storyline of MW3 online/Youtube.
For example:

-Fun Multiplayer
-Cool Singleplayer Storyline[?]
-Etc.

-Bad multiplayer
BF3 obviously has an advantage over MW3 and it would maybe be a waste in my opinion to spend 50 bucks on a campaign for a game...but, your choice is yours.

im srry i must disagree. Apart from Gmod of course cod mw2 had the best multiplayer experience ever. The leveling up was cool, the weapon customization, the tags and emblems, the challenges. Its SUPA fun. I have never played Battlefield but CoD to me is one of the best games ever. Don't rage at me for my opinion, please. :)

99% of guns in BF are balanced perfectly.

3. Frequent and FREE updates which include brand new COMMUNITY made maps, weapons, and hats.
4. Customizable inventory which includes paintable hats and nameable hats/weapons.
5. An in-game trading system which has developed its own mini economy.
6. Fun, even after years.
7. A unique art style which is funny, and not serious. - Basically what a game should be.
8. A whole story behind the game and it's characters, which is available in the official TF2 blog.

Cod doesnt even compare to any bf game, Cod4 was good and i love nazi zombies but other then that its shit, i LOVE bf2 and mw2 was a giant waste of my money, BF3 will be amazing, and mw3 will be just like all the others, they are really milking the cod franchise and they seem to put no effort into Cod at all. all bf games seem much more refined and improved with every new release, yet cod is always the same thing. Bf all the way
