If it weren't for my mods fucking up my map, I would have had well over 30 wolves not exaggerating.
I had at most 17 wolves at one point.
Before they were blown up by aliens (not joking) or randomly disappeared.

After minecraft updates each time the owner of the mods have to make some changes in order for it to work for the updated version.
That's all I know.
You can downgrade MC to get it to work on the early version of the mods though.

Update: Wolves are fucking retarded.

I fell into a pit, each one fell in instantly, and, to add to the ensuing insanity, a bit of hilarity in the form of a fucking Creeper fell in.

My friend had like a wolf in his house, he was gonna mine a bit but then the wolf pushed him into the blocks which made him stuck in a glitch and died slowly...

I can't find wolfs ;_;

Oh yeah, you might want to do something about that wolf sticking his head in the fire... I'm scared for that one.
