Title: Startmovie GMod crash
Post by: Travelsonic on April 23, 2011, 09:50:00 AM: Why is it that when I go to use startmovie, and exit the console, GMod crashes ["The memory could not be read"] ? And if I use AVI format, am I supposed to specify the codec in the startmovie command, or does another dialog box pop up asking you to specify this? [I read conflicting things when Googling information on this]

And I specify AVI format.

... though nothing comes up about codecs, when I try to close the console GMod crashes ["The memory could not be read"]

Install a different codec, preferably XVid's MP4

As soon as the command is entered, it says "Started recording movie, frames will record after console is cleared..." - funnily enough, if I enter it in console before entering a server, it doesn't crash the game... 0_o
