Title: Finitar and Kelton
Post by: Supertoaster on April 13, 2011, 11:03:12 PM
This is my first image.

I took a screenshot of a planet I edited in an space sim game, since the background was black I removed all the stars and then cropped a photo of another planet next to it to give the illusion of it being the planets moon, the hardest part was getting the camera just right so they were both facing the same way.

The stars were added using white paint and the pencil tool in Paint.net

Whaddya guys think? Give constructive criticism.

View it in full size.

Finitar is the planet Kelton is the Moon in the corner.

stars could be a bit more random, with the brightness of them varying
other than that, i like it

however, is your planet frozen solid lol

Not quite,Just a thick white cloud cover. You can see a patch of blue in the bottom, I picture the planet coming out of an ice age, Heres a video of the clouds.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

You can see the continents of Earth and the nightlights because I used the Earth to model the planet, However I didn't know how to remove them.

The rotation also looks funny, I don't know whats up with that.

It's supposed to be thick white clouds covering the mostly frozen land.

I have some other planets I can do.
