Not at all.
-
When i was a child (age 4 - 6) I watched television quite often
not saying it was a good thing...
So really, The child should be going out side and playing.

I'd rather my child do that then watch something as mind-corruptingly despisable as Disney Channel.

I watched this history channel when I was young. Now I have probably seen over 100 shows (not counting the ones I watched more than once) with some guy talking dramatically while pictures of Hitler flash in front.
To OP: no more than 3

The History Channel LOVES Hitler, dude, you shouldn't be surprised.

2 hours at most i did with
-
When i grew up i didn't have tv. so meh
But as for Children it depends on the child and how old they are like is the anywhere between 12-36 months maybe about 30 to an hour a day/night 3-7 years of age 2-4 hours a day 7-11 maybe about 5 hours...
-
I used to watch the History and Discovery channel all the time with my dad when he was alive.
Luckily that was before it was replaced with shitty reality shows about people chopping logs and mining glory holes for oil.
-
ONLY animal documentaries :3 It fuels there imagination.
Even the discovery channel isnt kid friendly.
-
Depends on the programs they're watching.
I see nothing wrong with TV, it's more the parents using the television as a supplement for a baby sitter, or actually interacting with them.

Have a kid then you'll understand why, Lol.
And no i'm not saying its a smart choice or the right option.

Have a kid then you'll understand why.
I've had to babysit my little brother since he was born, because both of my parents are educators in a city thats about three-quarters of an hour away, and don't normally get home until around 7PM or 8PM.
Close enough?

Close enough?
Nope. Not the same thing.
Until you have to give every waking moment to a child and surfer from only 3-6 hours a sleep a night 24/7 between cleaning, laundry, making food, doing the dishes and ect.... Babysitting will never compare to the actually fact of raising a child.

Because two hours makes a huge fucking difference.

There might be elements that seem the same
but it's whole different ballgame

I'm not even going to get into this because the fact remains until you actually have a child and experience it you won't understand. I get you babysat your little brother for like 14 hours... but thats nothing compared to actually taking care of and watching.

thank you :)

because of your comment "it's more the parents using the television as a supplement for a baby sitter, or actually interacting with them."

Well, its good to teach young kids alternative ways to spend time other than watching TV I guess?
I would say... Maybe 3 hours
-
because of your comment "it's more the parents using the television as a supplement for a baby sitter, or actually interacting with them."
I simply stated my opinion. No need to piss all over it.
Maybe I phrased it wrong, I was using past examples of when parents prologue exposure of the television to their kids, causing concentration issues such as ADD and ADHD.

I didn't piss all over it, i simple said "Have a child then you'll understand" As in then you'll understand why some parents allow their kids to watch more tv then other parents.
But you proceeded in posting and asked a question therefore i answered. if you can't take answers don't ask questions.

if you can't take answers don't ask questions.
I don't need this.
I'm done here.
I stated my opinion.

Also, don't let kids watch Discovery channel/Animal planet
-
I don't see whats so wrong about Animal planet. it just shows what animals do(ing) with one another
-
Not much, OK amount. But what does that mean? That's a different story.
I usually didn't even watch tv. If i did, i watched some kids shows...
There was that awful doll, which i was afraid of. :zombie: :'(
-
Not at all.
This.
They should only watch movies and programmes previously recorded by their parents. Such as Nightmare before Christmas.
