Title is pretty self explanatory, thread is self explanatory.

Nid ideas for brand new game mode.
Not just a game mode improved, a new one from scratch.

I also won't be coding it, this is for a friend.

Runescape gamemode. With skills and a few sets of weapons/armours and crafting abilities.

1000's of players would swarm any servers with that.

alien survival its like  :zombie: but instead you go against Vortagons, Antlions,And on final wave Antlion guard. The Players controll the aliens and the ant lion guard(optional) Can lose controll like a tank.

antlion hp 100
vortagont 150
Strider (possibley) 300
hunter (possibley) 325

That is actually not too stupid ...
Something like Zombie Survival, but with Antlions.

Solid Snake, it would have a few player split up into teams trying to kill the target (breen) without alerting the guards (combine/ metrocops). They would be much less attentive so you could sneak around them, but have MUCH higher damage so if you f**k up you will most likely die. Also, traps like laser tripwires and explosive tiles and such.

Sounds good, but if one player alerted the guards wouldn't it just ruin everyone's game?

hmm i would assume only for the people near them.

idea, if someone gets found out the guard begin to roam around and are more alert :P

Straight-up deathmatch. Everybody starts with pistol, finds weapons around map. Respawning. First team to a set number of points wins.


It's essentially CS:S with respawning and point limits.

Heres some crap for you to make:

2 Teams, they start off by placing (Insert Arbitrary Number Here) Combine Turrets around their respective bases to protect (Insert Arbitrary item here) The opposite teams does the same.

Game starts, each player has "Resources" and can gain more by killing enemy npcs. The resources can be used to buy more defenses or buy attacking npcs such as combine soldiers or zombies. The npcs of the same team do not attack each other, but attack the npcs of the opposite team only.

The players' jobs are to guide your forces around and break the enemy barricades to kill/destroy (INSERT ARBITRARY ITEM HERE) using mouse drags and stuff. Every player has their own resources so they can buy whatever NPC they think is necessary. Whoever kills the enemy (INSERT ARBITRARY ITEM HERE) First is the winner.

Guys I have the greatest idea!

It's like clue, but FPS mode.

There are a group of Counter Terrorists, but there are Betrayers. These Betrayers have to kill everyone else in the game before time runs out. Everyone who isn't a Betrayer is a Civilian, or Sheriff. They have to use clues to find the Betrayers and kill them.

I call it "Trouble in Counter-Terrorist Town"

Of course, I guess the real issue is how it would be best pulled off.

Guess when I thought about possible vs impossible, I mixed up this idea [possible] with succeeding in my calculus course [seemingly impossible at this time :P]  Funny thing is, I'm having trouble grasping limits, but derivatives are proving easy for me to grasp.

Oh god, I hope I didn't just get a terrible mod idea stuck in my head... flying rational numbers that attack... oh god, end it now >_<

It's actually pretty much just mapping, make a plane, add spawnpoints inside it. Make some land at the bottom, etc.
