That's because it's on a scale for brightest to darkest.
If you were to put the first one beside the last one, you would notice the difference better.

EDIT:
Shawn, it's useful. If I wanted to use one of these colours not provided on the drop down list, I could just quote him, and copy/ paste it.

But if we stickied everyone that was usefull/helpful we would have about 10-20 Threads Stickied,
So therefor we shouldn't stickey any Guides.
Its why we have a Select older post pages

There are just 3 or 4 guides about something in the forums... this, the one that is allredy sticky, forum ranking system...

and some other sort-of guides.
