Title: The Day that lived in Infamy.
Post by: Cheesicle on December 08, 2010, 04:14:01 PM
Yesterday, 59 years ago, Pearl Harbor was attacked by the Empire of Japan.

On another sad note, John Lennon died 30 years ago on this day. RIP.

Frank you get pissed  and offended when someone openly says "faggot".

You think that you can make fun of 2000 of our men being slaughtered, burnt alive, and drowned and we won't get offended?

Seriously, I speak for myself, although others quite obviously agree and are too scared to say it, but

Don't you insinuate for a second that no one cares.
Only the insensitive pricks don't give a shit.
If we (Americans) didn't care about the consequences of the Atomic bomb, we would not be in a war right now.
And you know DAMN WELL that if the Japanese had the Atomic bomb they would have dropped it on innocent civilians, just as we did.
No, I don't think that was right to do. However, it's done.

You're just racking up respect as you now decide to bring how "nobody cares" about a genocide of over 11,000,000 people!

Hindsight is 20/20.
And no, not who cares.
You cannot change the past, you can only change the future.
Honestly, care all you want. That won't change what happened.

Actually, America in general (not everyone) tends to make a bigger deal if anything happens to their country, whereas a larger disaster would occur in another country with more casualties, but they wouldn't make as big a deal of it, and you wouldn't hear as much of it.

Just because there are no Mexican heros in the world doesn't mean you have to be jealous.

And nobody gives half a rats ass about Hiroshima or Nagasaki because Japanese killed millions. I REPEAT MILLIONS OF CIVILIANS in massacres of Chinese cities. Only a little over 300,000 Japanese Civilians died in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. 300,000 civilians compared to 10,000,000.

And your point is valid. But in times of war, everyone does this. Ex, the Japanese told civilians to jump to their deaths rather than surrender to our army because we would rape and torture them.

Exactly. Fucking Japanese Soldiers killed 10,000,000+ Chinese Civilians in Shanghai, Nanjing, Beijing, and other Chinese cities. Now everyone is like OMG HIROSHIMA NAGASAKI SO POOR WE MUST HATE AMERICAN 4 NUKING JAPAN !#$!Q EWSAF ESD. 300,000 Japanese Civilians vs. 10,000,000 Chinese Civilians. Japan still denies this too. That's what really pisses me off.

>implying Japanese civilians had any say in what happened
It wasn't the decision of the civilians, they did not deserve to die.

Not saying they deserved to die. I'm just saying I think it's extremely wrong how people are siding with Japan when they killed more civilians than those killed in the bombings. Hardly anyone in America knows about what Japanese did to the Chinese.

So that means it would be America's fault for not properly educating their youth about the happenings of ww2?

Some people say war is war, people will die and whoever wins gets the spoils.
Others say that both sides are wrong for not finding another way to solve their problem.

I think those are both incredibly close minded stupid observations. The Japanese leaders and any soldier who commited inhumane torture and took part in the bad treatment of other people are to blame and pretty much all of them were executed by the end of the war.
