@Cable - Uh sure, I guess.

@Rocket - I was thinking at 20 kills, with the Aegis and Grenades since that's more of the support tier.

But the whole point is to find a way so it's 100% balanced so

Idea #1 would be good, But you can only heal with it ONCE. And it should do 30 health to both you OR another person.

Well, chances are the person with the medkit will always heal themselves

@tomcat - I know a decent amount. Nothing amazing. I don't release stuff due to the fact it's mostly put together by bits of other releases. Most of them are edits for my own servers.

@cable -  So a one-time 30HP heal for yourself, and a 30HP heal for someone else?

@rocket - I can make it so the medkit only heals others, making the person with a medkit more valuable since he/she would not be able to heal themself.

Actually I don't think that would be a good idea.

I actually like your idea, all I need to do is figure out how to get the timer/bar for it.
Well, that's not even the problem, the thing I wouldn't know how to do is to keep the OTHER player (if you're healing them) from moving.

What if I made it so you can ONLY heal yourself, and if you wanted someone else to heal, you'd drop it and let them pick it up?
Title: Re: Project: Portable Medkit [Zombie Survival]
Post by: Prox on December 02, 2010, 09:47:35 AM
Maybe there shouldn't be any timer for healing?  You could be able to heal youre self or the others instantly.
Or

I think there should be also condition: if there no healthstations on map.  Because if alot of people will get it... zombies will just suck.

Since it looks like were going with the l4d approach, it would really just be another tool for the mapmaker, making them the ones who would decide.

My MAIN point is during this map, which was before the youtube video, iPounce, mokey, noxious, or whatever you want to call him kicked at LEAST 5 people. I can truly swear to this and so can Sabbath. Some of his reasons were like "killed another nice man","LOLTRAITOR", and others which I cannot recall. No, I am not trying to get iPounce in trouble in the slightest. I simply want to say how fabricated his story is and how he excluded all of the ones he kicked to sound like he did nothing wrong.

Singling out mokey, also l2grammar. I don't just -1 people for the hell of it like you just did to me.

So let's take a recap here...

I am apparently singling out mokey even though the thread included don and rocket.

Also, my grammar? I don't see a problem. I think you just cannot think of an insult so you try to act like a grammar Nazi.

Lastly, I had a reason to -1 you according to your specifications of singling people out or being a dick, which you did both.

EDIT: Also, Deacon what have I done to you that gives you the neccessity to -1 all of my posts randomly?

You can just stick it to the wall when your in a cade.
And it'll just be like a regular health kit, also you can pick it up again.

Don't pull the contradiction card.

I remember a few weeks ago, I asked you to kick/ban a bunch of name changers (Jbanned: Death M.D.  : FUCKING BITCH NIGGERS DICKS FUCK)
and you said "I can't kick for that."

Yet if you look at Don's App, which is used for a large majority of VIP apps

"Someone is using a name changer
I would try to ban the name changer by myself in the server, and if that's not possible, I would get the SteamID and report the subjct to an admin."

So

um i didn't say i can't kick for that, i said i can't kick them it is impossible, they change their names to to the same names as you and just put a % after it. Vips have a menu to votekick/voteban people from so there are 2 people with the same names on that list I'm not going to risk kicking/banning an innocent person from that list, so gtfo.

Lol if you ever get VIP then you will understand how hard it is to kick name changers We don't have a coloured menu (ie: we don't see the reg/guest/whatever) for kicking people
2, we don't see the spaces nor can we tell if there is one or not
3, not possible to tell in the kick menu Lol

There is a backdraw to this. Human already heal at a like 10 or 15 kills.

The first plan is good. Awsome to be more like it. May i suggest that your current model could be a maga healer. More like 50 Health. Also to replase the model for the 30 health use the model for the smaller Health vial.

Hope i gave you some god advice.

Bump.

Going to start from scratch on this, since I have a new computer that can boot GM_flatgrass in under 20 seconds. I have someone whose going to help me with the lua, but the current model and code is lost on my old laptop (not that there was much to go on).

Will update OP later tonight or tomorrow when I've made a bit of progress. I think 30HP is a bit too little, so give me your thoughts.

I'm also going to make this a map entity so mappers can place it wherever they want (although personally, I feel it should be something you can get at the second HP unlockable at 25 Kills I think).
