So this thing has been bothering me for a while. Whenever I'm in game and I try to type something in console it instantly closes down and when I reopen it I see the letter that I pressed typed in it. If I try to continue typing then the same thing happens again and I see one letter that I tried typing in console once I reopen it. This happens with pretty much all keys I try to begin typing be it backspace or some random letter, although sometimes after struggling around with the console and pressing (~) which is the console key for me it allows me to type the command but it works only 1 time. I've reinstalled Gmod and I tried disabling my steam cloud but the problem persists. I think that if could just delete all of my Gmod options it would fix the issue since after reinstalling game all of the console binds and things like that remained the same. Is it possible to do that and if it is then how do I do it?

I've found this bug too. Like you said, when you type after you set up the console it closes the pause menu. To work around it, i just bring up the pause menu with ESC and the console window should still be up.

That doesn't work for me. Also I would like to clarify that it isn't impossible for me to open up console it is just that it might take 10+ tries to be able to type one or two commands.

Silly idea, but if you uninstall Gmod, some contents remain in the steam folder, manually delete those files after you uninstall and then reinstall it.

Hmm not sure I've seen this issue.
I normally open the native options menu, then press the console key to use the console.

Apt tab and it should fix itself, I had this issue
