Title: rNd Wire Build Shutting Down

Hey everyone,

I have decided to shutdown the Wire Build server as it is very underutilized and I think I can use the resources in other places.

And yes, I have gotten Tech's approval as well (since everyone asks me this).

I have thought about this for quite awhile as it was the first server I ever hosted, but I won't forget any of what happened.

I was just talking about it today with YomoFox and I was instantly reminded of so many different and fun times when playing that server.

So I got some ideas from YomoFox, Mr. Franklin, and Lazer Blade today regarding things to do before it closes.

As part of the shutdown we can have a "last day" of Wire Build, where we get to have a wide variety of events such as derby, or time-limited contraption making, etc.

Anyway, if you are interested just say that you are interested as some part of your post and list something you would like to do on that day if you have any ideas.

If I get enough feedback then I'll have the event this weekend August 23rd PST (time TBA).

Also, I later plan to integrate the multi-server with the fretta server, which will bring us down to 1 Garry's Mod server and open resources up for hosting servers like space engineers.

rANdOm's WireBuild is a my first joined server.

Anyone remember the day server is running gm_wireconstruct?

Full of fun, peoples are making Castles, or Air planes, or pizza maker.
Then "ERROR: snapshot overflow" LOLLOLLOL

I made many friends on rANdOm community after i started playing on rANdOm WireBuild.

After Garry's Mod 13 is released, its like almost dead.
When i think about these memories, it makes me sad.

Anyway, thank you for hosting WireBuild!

Yes... this was my first and most home-like server. It was love at first sight. I will never, ever forget you, rNd Wire Build! You will live in all our hearts forever!

I'm definitely interested in a final day for wirebuild, as it was the first rnd server I connected to in 2008. We could have a couple of events going on through out the day, like derby's or a craft whatever competition. I highly appreciate everything you have done for wirebuild coolz, as it has influenced us all in rnd.

Sad to see Wire shutting down, things happen for a reason.

I am definetly going to be there, to see the final hours of Wirebuild.

Sad day, I spent a lot of time on Wirebuild when I wasn't in ZS :(

I was never a fan of wirebuild but there was this one point where I used to mainly play only wire build. I will be at the event if the hours will be right for me.

I remember getting being so happy after I got regular because I could use Adv. Dupe and Pewpew, and proceeding to build a thruster train with fireworks and cannons.

I hate being reminded of myself more than 5 years ago since wirebuild was pretty much me. But damn I'd like to give it one more play before the first semester starts on the following monday.

8 Years of near continuous running... I think Rnd should get an award for being the longest running wirebuild server in history. I wonder how many hours I have invested into that server...
