Please no. This is too much for 12 year olds to actually care about. We want to keep it enjoyable while at the same time not too much work for people. Those sometimes can suck the fun out of games in my opinion

I would suggest making voice global too for the map. Or if possible an ooc one. The talking only when near people is very annoying and limiting.

I don't recommend any mods or tools that allow you to make an unbreakable base where you can printer farm and just kill any raiders.

My favorite DarkRP server I used to go to is sort of dead now, a lot of people still play but nobody can raid anymore since the mayor/citizens can just make these unpenetrable bases. The mob used to raid the PD/Nexus all the time and it was awesome, the cops were constantly on edge and trying to actually do their jobs instead of running around with a gun shooting people for no reason.

We need admins or VIP on all the time as DarkRP can get out of hand very quickily, all it takes is one or two random deathmatchers to start an all out minging frenzy.

I find it kinda hard to use commands.. Like in some other RP servers I have played on, pressing F1 or F2 made a menu come up on screen and it has all the commands listed but you can click on them and start a vote for mayor, buy stuff etc.. Hope that is sorta understandable   :idk:

I think we should have some sort of option where you can choose who you can't hurt/arrest. So that if the CP or Gangsters are making a raid/bust, they can disable any kind of damage towards eachother, then afterwards disable it when not needed.

Saves the trouble of untrusted and abusive CPs who can't get stopped.

Hmm, I think I want VIPs and Admins to have no special game-related privileges... as they are administration classes.

Ehh, I am not really fan of the new map.

There is nothing underground. No metro, no water.
I really loved the underground things in DownTown.

So I suggest to keep the other map.

Are admins no longer allowed to noclip? I understand you said no special privileges and that's fine, but I feel that's a rather large part of being an admin on an RP server. Maybe it could be restricted to only being used for administration purposes only? Of course that would have to be done on the part of the admin themselves, but I feel being in that role that they should be responsible enough to restrain themselves from using it freely.

Also I get that no other ranks have any privileges in any other servers, but I feel like adding minor bonuses in something like RP, will help influence people to want to join our community and take part. It doesn't obviously need to be something outrageous like "pay for admin" but certain tools that some people without proper trust might take advantage of: like for example, ropes. We've already had two people that I know of in the past day who have just come in and spawned a bunch of rope everywhere. If we restrict that to regular only, that won't happen and the people who really really want to use rope will go on the forums and try to become a reg. I don't know, it's just a way to try to draw people in, and help our numbers a bit yah know. I am just trying to think of ways to make our community more attractive to people..  :idk:

Also, can we disable sitting on people's heads? It gets annoying sometimes when unwanted people sit on your head or when you arrest someone with a person on their head, it puts them in jail too.

Thanks for integrating the server! I have a few more suggestions:

1. Alt-E sitting should be disallowed for certain props. Sitting in certain locations can cause problems like glitching through walls (proven possible at Marie's bank last night).
2. Admins should not be able to no-clip for non-admin reasons.
3. The button tool is broken - all of the models are blacklisted.
4. The gas can model is not blacklisted - people will spawn shitloads of it and explode it to leave explosion decals everywhere like an asshole.
5. Add an NLR timer or message letting people know about NLR. The timer should be about 5 minutes.
6. Votekick / Voteban for VIP.
7. (VIP) and (Reg) and also admin tags in-chat.
8. I agree with Marie, VIPs/Regs should have access to some tools that require trust.
9. viptalk.
10. More money printers.

Restrictions for tools, similar to wirebuild, should still happen.

anyway, things seem to be working fine on the server. however...

PlayX isn't spawnable by vips yet
also, Adv. Dupe has an issue where spawning dupes with high amounts of props will activate the anti-spam and cause certain parts of the dupe to be removed "due to spam".
None of the SProps stuff seems to be whitelisted.
Speaking of SProps, SProps isn't particularlly big...is there any chance it could be included as a download when people are connecting? I'd take advantage of SProps as a building tool, but the majority of people joining will NOT have it installed - showing it as errors for them - which isn't exactly a good thing.
I also found a major exploit with go-karts - ask me about it on TS3 (i'm not going to tell everyone about it in a public thread)

how about teleport? reintroducing that on mapchange
Teleport is a decent addition which in some cases might be even more useful then noclip, however I would prefer to have them both since with noclip you can get to any place at anytime and with teleport you rely on a certain player to be in a certain spot to get there.

the whitelist system blows, it's a cop out. you're limiting your playerbase more than you should be, i joined and couldn't spawn a fucking drawer models/props_c17/FurnitureDrawer001a_Chunk02.mdl but then could spawn a fucking rusty clothes dryer that kills players when you drop it on them models/props_wasteland/laundry_dryer002.mdl

switch to a blacklist, get some players together to dedicate their time to making it a damn good one. i'll help too, i'm not just gonna sit here and ream you guys on this, i'd love to help you all out.

the weapons blow. use m9k, or CSS realistic, the shit that comes with darkrp is rancid.

the money printer is bad too. check the workshop for a nice printer add-on, isn't too hard, no fancy coding or nothin'

the multi gamemode idea is neat. haven't seen that before, but darkrp can't really be played like that. that's just my opinion, but i don't have too much of a quarrel with the system, it's neat.

darkrp is a lot of work. i don't know what gamemode i would have recommended, ever since the shutdown in 2012 rnd has been pretty slow. ttt was in the top 50 on gametracker wasn't it?

He's just trying to make a point with it. I agree with Goat's argument though.

No offense to you coolz but I feel like you aren't that serious into building up this RP server. If it's going to be an RP server, it better be a damn good one cause there are many servers out there that are MUCH better than RnD and right now, the player base is mostly restrained to RnD members but most other people wouldn't care about this server. What Goat said, successful RP servers take a LOT of effort to run.

A whitelist is easier to maintain and provides same effect as blacklist, people have already helped me quite a lot. Not sure how using a whitelist limits playerbase. If there are props you thing should be added or removed then suggest it and it might be considered.

In terms of gametracker popularity the servers were in the top 10 for a long time. However, that was never the goal. Had it been, the servers wouldn't have even ran for the 6 years before.
