If only the HDD died, you could probably fix it with like 60 dollars or less.

Not worth repairing a dead 10 year old Vista Home premium with a god awful 2GB RAM.

Oh.

I can tell mine is nearing it's last days. The 2.53 GHz processor, GeForce GTS250 gphx card, and 2GB ram are dying. I can count on my gphx card crashing and restarting at least every time I play tf2 or gmod.

I sent mine in for repair after a year and a half of not working...
...they couldn't resurrect it :'(

It will at least put you on an upgrade path so later you can get an i3 or i5 though you may need to up the psu.

If you include those rebates, you can make a pretty powerful system.

Basically the same, but you can fit in a better GPU that should allow a mediumish gaming experience at 1080p with rebates if you want to jump through those hurdles ;)

Why are you buying Windows? Why not install a free OS like Linux or that other OS that is not free but it is.

I wish I could use Linux but I have no understanding to it and it screws up my PC's fans.

Well, then there's that other OS that is not free but it is. Those are $90 that would be much better spent in a hugely better CPU, GPU, or even an SSD.

My Specs as demanded.
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
AMD A4-5300 APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics (2CPUs), ~3.4GHz
4GB RAM
Nothing amazing on my side, but a bargain for a decent PC
