He was supposed to say something pronounced similarly to the cuss anyway. Shouldn't be a big deal like most things anyway.

caso = state, as in situation (pronounced ka-so)
cazzo = dick, fuck, cock (pronounced kat-zo)

basically every swear word in italian technically means dick but this one specifically is used as "fuck" (ma che cazzo = what the fuck)
