I'm about to buy it, looks fucking awesome lol. Reminds me SO much of stranded and I used to love that gamemode like fk.

Totally would if it'd actually work lmao. I can't join any single server and I don't think I'm the only one. However I looked up the issue and I'm only finding posts about it on fp from August and some in November...
I hope this isn't a long lasting issue.

Nice, blew $20 on the game, everything is unplayable due to a claimed "DDOS" attack. Of course Garry and the Facepunch team are incompetent enough to not do anything about it but wait for uLink to fix it, and jesus I'm staying off of the facepunch forums for support. If one bad thing is spoken, everyone goes "FUCK YOU IT'S ALPHA ITS EXPECTED BLABLA". What they don't know is that in a steam agreement, an alpha has to be PLAYABLE. It can be unfinished and bugged all it wants, but it still would have to be playable. In this case, this shit isn't playable, just Garry fucking up more great potential for things.
Not to mention how many 13 year old minions he has who thinks he completely made that game from scratch. Which I believe he's using Unity for the base game.

Yea I'm kind of surprised how long this has been going on for. The first time I saw this happen was just over a week ago but it only lasted less than a day. Now it's getting near 2 days that I can't play so idk...
Give it a chance though it might be a bit annoying but I still think it's quite worth it.

Yeah, just gotta wait it out for someone to do something smart and get this all under control. I'd really like to see the game be greatly improved upon, but honestly atm, I'm sorta kicking myself for not buying 7 days to die.

Well I heard the DayZ alpha was pretty good...

I've actually been meaning to get that since I still use the mod version. I think I am going to start playing Starbound again though, since there won't be any player wipes.

I've been really thinking about Starbound too. I heard it's pretty fun and moddable. I enjoyed Terraria, and it seems rather similar.

I like it a lot, I haven't been playing it as much lately due to the fact I don't want my character being wiped since it's still in beta, however I've heard there won't be anymore wipes, so I think I am going to start up again.

If it goes on sale I'll buy it for the hell of it, might pick up a copy for a friend as well, since it seems like a lot of fun if you play with friends.
Honestly it reminds me a lot of Winter Survival. I played the shit out of that when rNd had it as a server.

Yea I was thinking that. Kind of like Winter Survival or Stranded and Dayz all together.
I actually had no idea it had zombies and stuff until I played and was VERY confused when i was standing on a mountain crafting and got killed by one lol.

K guise. Rust is starting to get reasonable now. Garry finally stopped being lazy and updated security and added more content. So a large majority of hackers are being cut down now, along with glitches. Currently it is playable and god damn it gets intense at times. So if you have a spare $20, you might want to start consider getting this game. If you guise buy it or have questions, ask me or Sabb, we having some things going on which we would love more help with.
As for the lagg issues, it's virtually not a problem anymore on most servers, so the game is indeed 100% playable. It's still in Alpha, but at least playable and far better off than what it was before.

To be totally honest I actually didn't know Garry made this game when I bought it, but idc I like the designs of his stuff but it seems he needs to work a bit on making a proper finished product.
Either way I'm really enjoying Rust atm. The server I'm on is really secure now and I haven't had any problems with hackers any longer, just a lot of assholes.
