Title: I need minecraft help.

I need some semi-detailed instructions on what to download, and how to connect.

then login and stuff =P
then you click multiplayer
and finally put in ip and connect :DDDD

Run minecraft from where? I use the World of Minecraft client, and the latest one only allows you to put in a play.jsp URL. That's why I'm asking for help.
