I was thinking about how the admins promotions are and that we have always kind of had few active admins compared to other communities and thought of an idea that might benefit RND. Tbh I think it might be a bit late unfortunately but I don't think it'd hurt to implement this into promotions.
It seems that the reason we have few admins is because coolz and others wish to have admins who are an active community participant and not just a good player and offer something other than simply being a good active player. I understand that especially since the community is what most people consider what makes RND, and so admin's a bit more difficult to get. However, I thought that maybe in the future if coolz is on the edge of a promotion having a hard time whether to promote someone or not that maybe that person could simply be promoted in-game as an admin and not on the forums. I don't think it's a huge difference really but it might help? I also don't recall anyone else suggesting this before so I figured it'd be worth making a discussion just in case people haven't considered it or something.

It's possible I could promote someone to a server moderator type where they only have access to sourcebans and assmod in-game.
However, I would want them in a seperate group as to not confuse any members... that group doesn't really exist and would need to be made... which is possible but just another thing to do.
I have been working on some backend website stuff in my free time right now so feel free to discuss this for now and develop the idea but I can't promise when new things will be able to be implemented.
Personally, I feel that I would rather have someone with the title of "Admin" be trusted enough that I know they would try to represent the community the best way they could. Not sure if there is a middle ground for a moderator type group?

Ah alright, thanks, I can understand that. I was considering if it'd take much of any work as well and though of that but if it's a problem maybe it could just be as simple as giving the normal in-game admin rank or simply copying the admin rank and giving it a new name and giving them Server Admin or Game Admin on the forums or something idk.
