I got a new computer several months ago, and got a new Acer monitor with it.
However, I've had to switch it with my parents smaller monitor for an extremely irritating reason: It doesn't display dark colors properly.
Whenever something has a dark color, it will be the normal color with every other pixel being a shade of red. I play games quite often, and I'd like to be able to use my 1920 x 1080 monitor.
Not only that, but this problem occurs on both my video cards. The computer I want to run it on is an ATI Radeon HD 5670, and I haven't been able to find anything in the graphics settings that allows me to correct this.
Any help would be extremely appreciated, thank you.

Hmm never seen this problem.
Not sure how resolution can be tied in with color.
This is a tricky one.

The thing is, I googled it and nobody else has this problem as far as I know. It displays certain dark shades of black okay, but any color that's off gets messed up.

I had the same problem but with my xbox, Got a monitor with DVI, used DVI -> HDMI converter and I get green shit all over the screen, never happened before
Turns out the monitor had HDCP on it's DVI and xbox doesn't support that :P

Send the monitor back for repairs or get refunded and buy a different one

Already did this, but they want me to ship it to a repair center in TX. It's better than nothing though, there's a UPS store not too far from my house.

When I was little on my old comp I put some magnets on the comp screen while it was on - left black stuffs on the monitor and they would change shape if you moved the magnet over them
