Title: Adobe CS2 [FREE]
Post by: coolzeldad on January 07, 2013, 11:09:31 AM
Adobe has an official campaign going to have cs2 apps downloadable for free from their site.

Read more about it on Forbes: ( http://www.forbes.com/sites/adriankingsleyhughes/2013/01/07/download-adobe-cs2-applications-for-free/ (http://www.forbes.com/sites/adriankingsleyhughes/2013/01/07/download-adobe-cs2-applications-for-free/) )

Link is here but the site is currently assumed to be overloaded: ( http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/entitlement/index.cfm?pid=4485850&e=cs2_downloads (http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/entitlement/index.cfm?pid=4485850&e=cs2_downloads) )

Updated link: ( http://www.adobe.com/downloads/cs2_downloads/index.html (http://www.adobe.com/downloads/cs2_downloads/index.html) )

Pretty kewl if you want to get your hands on some legit adobe products, even if they are a few versions behind.

Coolz, this is illegal.. lol

Quote from: On behalf of Adobe Systems Incorporated …

You have heard wrong! Adobe is absolutely not providing free copies of CS2!

What is true is that Adobe is terminating the activation servers for CS2 and that for existing licensed users of CS2 who need to reinstall their software, copies of CS2 that don’t require activation but do require valid serial numbers are available. (Special serial numbers are provided on the page for each product download.) See <http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1114930>.

I don't see how.

They provide copies of the software without licensing restrictions themselves entirely.

They provide cd keys specially for this.

It's something that's completely public, they can word it how they want but it's literally provided at no cost totally on behalf of them.

I don't care. If it has a download link and serial key right there, I'm downloading it.

Sure,it is CS2 - used CS3 when I was still going to SUNY Purhase, but what the fuck, it's still Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash CS for FREE.  Got my hands on Adobe Primere CS2 video editing software [which I am probably gonna be familiar with since I used CS3 at the first college I went to, Purchase] - gonna now get Illustrator, Photoshop, and inDesign too. :D

EDIT: Shit, Adobe's products come with the Helvetica font, right?  Now I can make proper Flight Simulator repaints of aircraft in the American Airlines paint scheme - since the logos use Helvetica. :D
