I could never get into the first movies. I'll give this one a go and see how it is. The book was pretty nice from what I remember of it.

I also went to the midnight show. It was good, but if you're expecting another Lord of the Rings, lower your expectations.

Yea that scene was kind of idk lol but I didn't find it bad really. A bit weird and maybe a tad cheesy but it kind of fit. Same with some parts in LoTR I think. Honestly though I really fucking loved the movie, imo easily as good as any of the LoTR movies if not better.
