Title: Hurricane Sandy
Post by: JIGSAW on October 26, 2012, 06:20:10 PM
well some of you may have heard that there is a hurricane in progress and it is making its way up north and unfortunately I'm up north and there is a 50% chance of that hurricane hitting me so if I go offline after the hurricane it means:

A) my place got destroy as well as my equipment

B) the power lines got hit and I have no power

C) I'm dead (hopefully that won't happen but if it does it was wonderful getting to know the RND community)

well I bid you farewell and good luck for those who live in the vicinity of the hurricane

We probably wont care unless it's option C.

Anyway, you have nothing to worry about considering how north up you are. Everybody in the tri-state is going to get hit hard like me.

I told my parents to buy emergency equipment, but nooo. They're too scared that a terrorist is going to blow up our home after using a credit card. If I'm dead I'll be buried in a mountain okay?

Guys this isn't fucking hurricane Katrina we're talking about here. A few power lines downed here and there.... power out for a few days... go to a house with a generator...

Probably get a bunch of rain or something, I doubt it will be as bad as in New England or anything.

We've hardly been hit by hurricanes. Even if we have, they're extremely weak.

Really, the worst of it is in the southern california area.

We had some 6.0's a while back near san francisco, and we didn't even feel it in the central valley even though we're only like 2 hours away.

MOVE TO ALASKA

WE HAVE:
-50 ACTIVE VOLCANOES (180 total) (One of them was 10 times as powerful as Mt. St. Helens)
-EARTHQUAKES MEASURING MAGNITUDE 9.2, AND LASTING FOR 4 MINUTES
-SOME OF THE LOWEST RECORDED TEMPERATURES IN NORTH AMERICA
-STORM SYSTEMS THAT WOULD CLASSIFY AS A CATEGORY 4 HURRICANE

On the plus side we don't have any venomous reptiles, and very few venomous insects.

BUT WE ARE SO BAD-ASS IT DOESN'T MATTER.

Half of Manhattan and a part of Brooklyn had to turn themselves Amish for a while. Up in Queens chillin' out maxin', relaxin' all cool.
