Title: CSS content on GMod without buying CSS
Post by: Loke on August 16, 2012, 12:35:06 PM
Well, my step brother recently bought gmod, but not CSS. We have tried copying the files over manually, but the v_models don't work, and the w_models only show if they are a prop. If they are a weapon on the ground, its a shadow of the gun, and when he tried to pick it up, he gets SMG ammo instead of the gun.
Help please? c:

I'd download some HD models and sounds, those work like they're supposed to.

But then why aren't the CSS models working?

Don't know, but why would you want those over HD ones?

They are extracted from the gcf files, so get "greenluma" or whatever that programs' name is.

GCFScape works too.

Assuming you don't have the CS:S gcf file since you don't even have the game, you're going to have to look online for one and download that. Then what Snivy said, extract it with GCFScape. Then put the folder into your addons and stick an info.txt in there with whatever you want, as long as it follows the format like the other addons.
