Orchestral remix of a 8-bit song?
Piano cover of a song you like?
Or maybe there's an older song with not-so-great quality that you'd like to see remade.

Just throw a post out in the thread and I'll most likely do it.

I'll be more inclined to do yours if it's from a video game, so keep that in mind.

I want to have fun with these, so uh, try to refrain from troll requests, okay'?

I wasn't going to do the first one anyways since I couldn't find any midi's for it, and fuck spending the extra hour or two charting it by ear.

Deku palace is coming along pretty lulzily. Sounds odd, but a good kind of strange.
Dropped the goldeneye one, I can't seem to think of what to do with it.
The Dead Island is also coming out pretty interestingly, still playing around with dubstep wobbles so it doesn't sound utter shit.
Sinister Sundown is sounding pretty sexy and just needs some mastering/EQing before I'm done.

T'was fun to do. It took a while to get around to making because I was busy with schoolwork and stuff. I managed to sit down and get it done this afternoon though.

As for the previous three I'm supposed to be working on, I keep hitting roadblocks with each of them, not sure what to do with them. Deku Palace ended up sounding like really bad techno, and the dead island one sounded like babby's first dubstep.

As for the sinister sundown one, these orchestral re-dubs only take a few minutes to make. This time, I played around with some new percussion samples, and EQ'd the fuck out of them, so hurr.

It's funny, because I was working on something with the acapella of that a couple days ago. I took his voice and sliced it up to make a beat out of it, kind of similar to what I did to this song.

And then used the vocals as every part of the song, the bass, percussion, etc.

But it sounded as bad as it sound in theory, so I scrapped it. I like how it's easier to do that kind of stuff in sony vegas than it is in an actual DAW.

So short answer is, tried it already, failed miserably. I can't bring anything to the song than what's already there.

It's a lot funner to do simple tunes, like pokemon music and shit because it leaves a LOT of room to play around with it. When you have a complex or really good song, it's harder to add more to it than what there already is.
