If so many of you don't get along with the other people here, why do you stay?
Wouldn't you leave?

I hear at least once a day how horrible this community is.
So if it bothers you to the point that it appears to when you rant on AB, why do you stay?

There is nothing to save; a few "bad apples" leaving will not fix the underlying problem.

We're just getting too old for each other. It's the same reason you can't stand your family while you're living with them. I already have a general idea of how I'm going to leave for good, but that's not coming for another two years. Until then, I intend to milk all the enjoyment out of here that I can.

As people play/talk with others, they learns things about the other person. When one person does something dumb or they disagree on something, they might become enemies. From that point, they take it on /ab/ (which is ALWAYS a mistake to do) most of the time which just makes it even worse.

Many people start shit because they want to call the other person/group out, inform people about stuff they shouldn't know about, or just because they're bored as shit. It's what happens when people know too much about others.

That and the fact that there's been a lack of influx of new members, so we're forced to either go to other communities to meet new people, or talk to the same person.

I stopped going there myself.

At this point I'm only playing with the people who already mostly left rNd mainly because of how the groups act in here. It's just different groups of people disliking others, spewing shit, siding against friends, etc.

I just post on the forums since that's the only thing I do browsing.

because they have no where better to go, I've talked to a few people who left completely and it's usually because they've found a better community to join and didn't really have much friends in the RnD in the first place. as for the others who haven't completely left and still browse/post in the forum by habit, it's either no where to go or they still have friends who are in RnD still.

And that's actually true, I remember when I first met you Deacon, it was on YOUR mc server, you were hosting it.. I found an exploit or some shit and kept using it. You found out removed my shit and that's when I thought "oh shit hope this guys not mad at me" soon after that I started talking to you more and you were like my idol because you were cool, honest, nice, forgiving and VERY helpful. And you were/are a really great influence.

It's kind of funny. I left another community when I came here.

What I think could save/sink this place is the frequency of people with power. Admins or mods are few and far between, but the "(Reg)"s and (VIP)"s make up for that. Until the quality and quantity of people of those ranks tank we will be ok.

Also, that perma karma is just the damn worst when you have an RDMer acting like a T.

Because before people at least explained the reasons behind the thread.

I like it because there is truth. Because even though you may not know WHO is saying it, you can for sure know that someone's got a problem with it. And that should be enough for you to act upon. And because if you need to know the identity of those who criticize you, it's most likely that you want to invalidate their arguments because of their status.

So that is where that board was. I'd heard people mentioning it a few months ago, but I had no idea where it was. I also have been away for a few months, so I don't really have much of an idea of what has been going on. Regardless, I would be sad to see you go Deacon.
