Most of the people you see are actors hired by the government to give the impression everyone is 'happy'. They had these peoples hotels rooms bugged so they couldn't say anything bad about anything there. There is a lot of fake propaganda there, there is propaganda that the US started a war on North Korea around the same time as WWII and North Korea won, etc.
