So lately, me and cactus can't access the community, browser or steam. Store, News,Support and the such except the community is working fine. Everytime I go to a website that requires a steam login is very annoying. It makes the privileges off. So basically what I can't do is:
Check people/group profiles.
Add people. (unless they were to add me)
Login my steam to steam-allied websites.
Play a minute on a VAC secured server without getting kicked for the reason that it can't connect to VAC.
Would really help out if I can solve this because I really wanna play TF2 now. :icecream:

I've been having a problem similar to this also. I'm guessing steam will do something to fix it eventually.

Steam master servers are down. Wait for the fix.

My guess is they're updating the site for the summer sale. Should be in a couple of days.

1. Goto your steam folder.
2. Delete everything except: steamapps, steam.exe and steam.dll
3. Goto steam website.
4. Download steam installer
5. Install steam at the same location.
6. Open steam.
7. Let it update.
8. Done.
9. Play.
10. Sleep.
11. Say thanks if you can. :O

It's useless.
Basically, the steam is either corrupted or...
So, you need to delete almost all of the files and reinstall it. (I did it before so I know)
Try not to delete steamapps folder in-case you want to reinstall your games. :P

Had the exact same problem a while back. You are playing online in offline mode.
All I had to do was exit out of steam, and login again. Though you should probably exit back out and reboot your computer.

Anyhow.. I remember reading online that a system32 wipe clears a lot of problems. Heart disease to obesity.
I can't remember where I found it, so don't ask the source. :3
