Hmm...
Most Mac users have very little knowledge of computers and buy thinking that they are getting their worth.
Although what they are doing sounds silly, it can fool a lot of the gullible people. Profit.

From what I've experienced or in my opinion personally* most Mac users have very little knowledge of computers and buy thinking that they are getting their worth.

All fixed c:

On a side note if you compare the specs of a mac to that of a pc for the same price whether custom or retail yes the pc will have much more efficient and godly hardware (unless it's an alienware), some people however prefer OSx and mac in general. Yes you can mirror OSx on a pc but it requires effort and time and extra spending cash for upgrades and such that are necessary to run OSx on a pc. Even if done successfully is a lot like playing a torrented game sometimes it works well sometimes it doesn't but it always has issues and simply isn't the same as running OSx on a system built around it.

tl;dr: Who the fuck cares which computer someone prefers it's a preference not a fact.

>Alienware
haha

But yes it is a personal preference but people can't get over it. It's like the console wars.

If you are going to get a expensive laptop, go with the Razer Blade http://store.razerzone.com/store/razerusa/en_CA/pd/productID.243119900?utm_source=RazerStore_CA&utm_campaign=Store_HP_CA&utm_medium=midbanner (http://store.razerzone.com/store/razerusa/en_CA/pd/productID.243119900?utm_source=RazerStore_CA&utm_campaign=Store_HP_CA&utm_medium=midbanner)

Not a Alienware http://www.dell.com/ca/p/alienware-deals.aspx?ST=alienware&dgc=ST&cid=3852&lid=4322783 (http://www.dell.com/ca/p/alienware-deals.aspx?ST=alienware&dgc=ST&cid=3852&lid=4322783)

You can easily make a hackintosh instead of spending more money.

tl;dr: The only good thing about a Mac is all the software comes preloaded without the trial and paying bullshit. Otherwise they're overpriced pieces of shit/mainly for hipsters who can't work anything outside a video camera.

So Windows is sort of in between Linux and Mac in terms of average user retardation percentage?

Who needs facts when gross generalizations about user bases work much better?

Whoop, silly me. I forgot. This is the year 2012. Everything we say is considered an opinionated basis, and god forbid if we dare speak about it in contrast with someone.

If you consider a mac's performance to it's cost, it's really overpriced. That's not to say that PC's are NEVER overpriced, but generally speaking, they're more expensive. Mostly because they are typically pre-built laptops, and just like pre-built PC's, the ratio of performance to cost is bad. But a bigger problem with macs is that they are more expensive to fix because there isnt as many manufacturers making mac parts as PC parts.
