Me and Alphaggot were discussing this. What would the world be like if money didn't automatically determine wither you live or wither you die. Not trying to put it off like "MONEY IS BAD BLARGALGAGAASFASD", but it wouldn't be such a big determining life factor.
Prime example of what I mean by life or death:
"Whats that, you have a beloved pet that your family loves and your children cherish that needs a live saving operation? No Money? Lol too bad"
"Whats that, you have a loved family member that needs a surgery to save their life? No Money and you can't qualify for insurance? We'll still do it, just we'll pin you and your loved ones deep down in debt to where it's miserable to live with."
We'd still have money circulating around to buy possessions and such with, but to play such a giant role in human consequence. Discuss.

Wait, what? What do you mean death if no money for an operati-
Oh wait. Amurrica, right.

But... A good chunk of the world already has a system where money doesnt decide death...

Well even though a lot of countries have dat healthcare stuff, just might as well still put this out there.

We had this kind of question in ethics and I can't really remember the results, though... Of course it's not moral thing to let somebody die...
I think we should look at the patient. As horrible it might sound, if he/she is old there is really no need of surgery. There are probably many other patients with even more serious injury, with life ahead of them.
I cannot really say more because we have everything up here OK with medical care.

Sounds like my kind of place.

People are afraid to die, so they will do anything to stay alive.
After that, they always want more. Greed has an infinite stretch. Many kings in the past wanted more power and some even fancied themselves as gods.
But, yeah an ideal world wouldn't have money I agree.

Since money is a something everyone wants they would do a lot of things for it. What do they spend the money on? Their need and greed. Imagine a world without money and where everything was distributed without a cost. Everyone wouldn't need to work. Without work how can there be any progression? Without progression? Not to mention eventually those supplies will run out and we will all downgrade and downgrade means more likely chance of death.

For so much progression, I bet there's thousands of millions who aren't happy at all.

If I remember correctly in the 70s (?) socialism was forced upon us.
The idea was to only take what you need for a living. And everybody would get used to it and would only take as much as they need. You know, like an 1 pair of shoes. Only 1 jacket, etc. I don't have to say, it didn't work out as planned.

That's more communism than socialism and it's not that bad of a system ._.

To each according to his need. From each according to his ability.

Communism is beautiful and perfect in theory.
But it fails to deliver.
As is capitalism and every other fucking politic-economic/politic/economic system.
Some last more than others, but all of them have great flaws.

But communism is perfect in theory even though there is no pure communist country.. Other countries like North Korea fails to succeed in becoming a pure communist country and if you think china is a communist country which it isn't. In fact, it is basically a capitalist system run by a dictator

I'm saying China isn't a pure communist country because it has a totalitarian/capitalist system

But what does it have to do with my post?

tl;dr Communism isn't bad in theory (if you like oppression) but when implemented is fucking terrible.
Communism is as many of you have said great in theory, when implemented it's not okay or decent its fucking terrible. The government is now responsible for the distribution of all products. Meaning 300 guys in an office have to decide when, where and how much of something a certain area obtains of an item. Over the ages of history time and time again communism and socialism alike have failed again and again, that being said look at todays global economy everyone's doing shitty but China and a few others essentially. For those of you for a communist system, you think it's all fine and dandy? Do you think you just "work" your job and get your food and items for your house. Well it's not and history will attest to that, your job (more or less), your life, your very well being is chosen FOR YOU by someone else your house which is probably a box is painted the color they want. Maybe you don't seem to recognize that communism ≠ freedom, it simply doesn't. I guarantee they put you working the fields or in a coal mine or what have you you'd be bitching and moaning by the end of week 1. The fact of the matter is the human mind WANTS it is human nature and whether the people under the communist government are the ones who WANT more or the dictators themselves WANT more it just doesn't work out and hasn't time and time again.

But that's wrong. Are you fucking dumb or what? I mean what the fuck. Have you ever even read what communist theory is actually about?
The abolition of all authority, freedom. Man, what the fuck. In theory it's not opressing at all. It's all about freedom and mutual community help.

Whilst I agree with the point you're making, the way you said it was kind of harsh.
Not to say you're wrong with what you're saying. Communism IS in fact about economic equality and whatnot. It just can't work.
