As some of you know, I work at an Animal Clinic. Yesterday - someone brought in a little baby mocking bird, which is very rare where I live. It is almost completely unharmed; we think it was just abandoned. It's starting to become more friendly around people and friendly especially around me for some reason. I think it's really cute and it's pretty low maintenance. We're in the process of rehabilitating it by teaching it to go from eating paste from syringes to eating seeds and such by itself. It's also starting to drink on it's own and has been making some attempts at flying, some of which weren't so successful. Anyway, my boss asked me if I could possibly take it home to help rehabilitate it. Should I do it? Why or why not?

Depends on if you have the time and willpower to do it all by yourself. And be its mother and father. Provide him food and shelter.

I also have a large snake, LOL. I don't think it should be a problem though as I rarely handle my snake and wouldn't handle it around the bird.

Well, basically as Deacon Frank said, if you have the time, means, patience, etc... to keep it, then you should f it doesn't bother you. It's not like you get a chance at keeping a bird like this every day.

Tbh I don't know if you should take it home with you. It would be cool to have one yea, but it would obviously require some maintenance if it's still learning to eat seeds and stuff. You would really need to pay attention to it a quite a bit... and if you're going between your mom and dad's house how will you be able to take care of it?

Oh my goodness, it's so adorable ;_; I love its little face~

If you want to take it home with you, it's really up to you, you just have to have the means and the capability (and the time) to take care of it and love it. If you can do those things, then I don't see why not. :) You'd also have to keep it away from that snake of yours lol.
