Title: Laptop for friend
Post by: Dale Feles on May 06, 2012, 09:18:57 AM
Basically, my friend is looking to buy a new laptop, and he's not sure which one he should get. He wants a laptop that is able to run games and has a decent RAM, although it doesn't bother him if he cant run all the games on high settings.

He's willing to spend 800$, but I'm pretty sure he could get a decent laptop for 500$. Any ideas?

For his goal of 8, I suggest one of HPs' dv6 series.

That's what I had and it worked well for most things most of the time.

I got this for christmas for around 500 bucks. Not sure how much it is now since it's out of stock.

It runs GMod, CS:S, and LoL alright. I'm sure he already has these, but if he doesn't, make sure he has a mouse and a good headset.
