Title: Does anyone know how to soft mod an original xbox?
Post by: blαh2355 on April 06, 2012, 11:44:58 AM
Title. I know I need a modded dashboard and I'm thinking to get some games. I will not use Action Replay or USB methods since I can't do them. Or should I just get an emulator to save my troubles?

There are a few, same goes for PS2/Wii.

They're just hard as fuck to set up and can take a lot of time and energy, just to be extremely buggy.

PS2 is kinda super fucking hard to run smoothly. I never got to run Black fine. Man, I really wanted to play that game with mouse and keyboard.

If you don't know how to do it yourself then go to your local electronics shop (I don't know what it is called) and ask the guy who runs the shop to do it.He should know how to.
It shouldn't cost much, well, it doesn't cost much in Hungary.

The truth has been spoken. I could never get a smooth running PS2 game. Usually with PCSX2, you have to pingaz a bunch of files and plugins just to get it to work. After that, it usually crashes if you try to run from your dvd drive, making you have to burn a 6gb ISO file to your PC to run it there, to even then have the game to run shitty.

I've tried it with Grand Turismo 4, Hitman 2, GTA:SA, Sly Cooper 2, and Ratchet and Clank. Yet the gamecube emulators run pretty smooth.

I've played Silent Hill 1 on it and it ran perfectly.
