I loved watching my siblings play the original Sims back when we used to live in California, and then me eventually playing it myself. It sort of makes me sad in a way, I miss those days.

Oh god I know what you mean. I sat in my moms office and I saw her playing this and she showed me how to play and I've been playing it since.
It was so fun back then. Then overtime I got bored of it and started becoming one fucked up little kid cuz I started trapping about 9-10 babies outside and putting a 4x4 wall with no door, with a fireplace and wooden chairs.

God.

This thread made me dig out my N64 from the garage.

So many obscure games. Holy shit.

This game was fucking TOUGH AS SHIT from what I remember.

This game was great. It was basically Mario Kart, but you could upgrade and modify your snowboard (gokart), and it actually followed a (strange, but funny) storyline based on which character you played.

This game. God damn. I'd spend HOURS playing with the rollercoaster. There were so many things in this game that blew my mind when I was little.

This one was your usual platformer. Nothing really special about the gameplay.

It was the Gecko. The fucking Gecko. All the obscure references and jokes he'd make I never understood until I was older.

The music from the Sims was quite lovely in general. It made it easy to listen to without getting annoyed every time you wanted to buy/build something.
