> White is good and black is bad
> MUST MEAN THAT IT'S RACIST.
IMO, this is stupid. Wouldn't you pick the white doll too? Why? Because you grow with same region people. If your parents and relatives are white, you get use to it and feel more safe. You could call it a natural instinct. You can't remove this called 'racism' because it isn't racism. It's deep inside us, in our heads.Exactly, they can't decide, they reflect what is taught to them.
Also, kids are still evolving on that age and doesn't completely understand right from wrong and their value. E.g, breaking two glasses accidently is worse than one intentionally. So you can't really expect so called right answer from that question, which is bad doll and not.
Still nice research. Interesting...
This isn't necessarily a bad thing. Basically, the children COULD just be making those decisions based off of what they live around, and what they hear and are influenced by, but it's also just as likely that they're simply choosing white over black as that's their race, so they're naturally more comfortable with that. I bet you any money, you get a bunch of black children to do that same test, and they will do the exact same just reversed. Because that's what they're used to seeing, and that's who they are. So depending on how you look at it, it could be more or less bad.Their own race? Most of them were much more black than white.
Their own race? Most of them were much more black than white.I disagree?
Just throwing this out there: If the children are scared of black people at that age, it's not always because their parents or "society" taught it to them. Then, explain. At their age, they don't really formulate their own opinions on such topics yet.

They aren't scared of other people. They just find them strange or/and new. It's like a new kid comes to a school and everyone thinks his weird. That doesn't make much sense at all. If they just fine them to be strange, (also pointing out these are just dolls.) then why do they pick the black one for negative things, over white? If they really find them to be strange, they would pick both since none of those kids are really black or white. A child's mentality is based on what is usually around them, these kids are lighter skinned, not exactly "white" (Not counting that random white kid lol). It's just, society. Now, if I were to tell my kid not to be afraid of black people, they probably wouldn't be, where as if some one continuously talks about how bad black people are around their kids, or they see what those types of people do, that is the mentality they will have.
Nobody teaches you to be scared of other people. You just find them strange like I said. It's not hate or fear.
This is just of appearance though...And that's the absolute base of racism.
