My Gmod randomly minimizes whilst I am in-game, which is very annoying. Also, when I switch back to Gmod the screen is all black but I can hear sounds. Any help?
-
Well...honestly, i'm not sure what to tell you...except, that I heard that you could just rename your garry'smod folder(s) -- Both of them -- and just see what happens.
It will get rid of your addons, plugins, scripts, maps, etc...even all of those errors.
I belive i've had this exact problem before...not sure what I did - But I'm no longer having that general problem. So mabye, you just need to look up the answer online just for the rest of the details. And i'm just saying, it might aswell be a resolution problem if it's got a black screen -- even if you can hear sounds, too. I know you've also been crashing lately but I can tell you resetting the GMod folder's name is probably one of the best ways to fix it.

EDIT: It dosen't minimize, the Driver actaually stops responding
Like in the corner it says (Driver name) has stopped working but recovered. Thing is my screen is still black when I try to switch back to Gmod. It has never done this before, can anyone help?

Must be a Video card problem. Check to see if your drivers are latest/up-to-date.

That's what happens to me.....Fuck dude.
Whole time I've had my new GPU I've been trying to find a way to fix it. No luck :/
Did you get a new GPU? What did you do when this started happening?
-
It randomly started happening, I have the save GPU and all. I'll try to update it.
It says it's already up-to-date, I use an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 275.
;_;

Used to happen to me, but I'm running a intel GMA (Built in GPU on the mobo).
I actually installed some third party booster drivers, and for some reason, that made the errors/crashing stop ._.

I get those sometimes, they are really annoying. Sadly, I haven't found a way to fix them either. D:

It probably means that your GPU is overheating. I got the same problem, I posted about it and it turned out to be that the GPU fan was broken.
Still haven't got new one but it's running fine Source games.
-
Probably need to trick out your GPU Fan speedz or sumthin, :-\

I cleaned the interior of my PC, was really dusty. The fan seems to be working fine, had a little dust around it.
Let's hope for the best.
