95% On an English film review for a film I didn't even watch. (not lower-level English btw)

The only reason I didn't get %100 is because I derp'd and spelled essentially with one "l".

You lost 5% for a spelling error? and not even many spelling errors just forgetting an "l" WTF? shouldn't that be like 0.001% loss?

Yea, I would agree with you... but my teachers REALLY don't like giving high marks... at least when your mark's higher if that makes sense.
Get above 80% and they really pick on little things for you. (80% is an A here)

My Geometry teacher hates me because I never write notes and I'm always drawing or on my phone, yet I always pass the tests.

Ally my teachers like me, but they still make hard. :-X

Lol, impressive. My teachers all like me as I shut up and listen, unlike the rest of the class. Mainly the only reason I lose points is due to laziness and derping, though I've never lost 5 points due to a missing letter. But why did you only get 95? If each letter is worth 5 points, it looks like you should have gotten at least over 9000 points. :3

You speak Canadian very well I see.
Wish I was good at English.

Doesn't really quite work like that, but basically the higher your mark is, the more marks you lose for smaller things.
Like if I already had a 70% before spelling errors, I wouldn't lose 5% for each spelling error I make.

Bah, I like my grading method better. But I did get what you were saying, I'm no idiot. c:
Or am I... You'll have to decide that for yourself. :3

Sabb, if your parents were Azn, you would get your shit slapped for that wrong letter.

One time, I only read 1/3 of Great Expectations. I got a 193/200 on the essay for it.
-
yeah my teachers are the same sabb
the better you do, they will actually go out of their way to make up some bs to mark you down
it's because they all want their grades to form a "bell curve": some low, most in middle, some high
if you do the everything assigned correctly, i think it should be an A......but noooooooooooo bad teachers
-
Luckily my teachers aren't the same. They don't really give a shit about spelling and grammar.

Mine give SOOOOO many shits about spelling and grammar...

Yes actually.

But then again they have extremely low expectations to where I actually feel the need to write more then one paragraph.
All but for my business teacher, we write an average of 3 pages in that class a day...with forced cursive.

Huh, I just finished reading Great Expectations. Except I kept forgetting to read the chapters I needed to read, so I ended up reading 10+ chapters in one day a few times. No one should ever have to read that much of a Charles Dickens book in one sitting. It gets so confusing so quickly. D:

Lol cursive, what a joke. All of third grade was wasted on cursive. I wasn't that good at it so I sign my name in print (rewry easy to forge). But Sabb has nice calligraphy.

We Chinese students got the same slap.
Including a number error in Maths.
