something tells me the SOPA bill and the NDAA bill are written by the same person. as the bills' pretty much work together with each other.

Because wikipedia has false information of school projects or so.

I know.
The big part is because ANYBODY can modify the information, so it's not reliable.

wikipedia has been reliable for me, they got bots that detect changes and revert them within seconds, and some pages are even locked
if you read something like bananas only grow in africa, then it's pretty obvious it's false. :s

anyways, im glad wikipedia is protesting it.

You're supposed to use the reference links at the bottom, where the real information is

One day? That's a pussy protest.

I don't know if the legal system works this way (and what I'm about to say is remarkably shortsided, I have only a few minutes on the computer ATM), but it should should stay down until the bill is scrapped or something.

It's actually not.
It's a big organization, it has an affect. Just like a postal office or w.e shutting down for a day. Makes a big impact, just maybe not you in specific.

If you want to access Wikipedia, visit:

pbump.net/wiki/

Note that to view an article, you must type the EXACT name of the article title.

For instance, if you wanted to read an article on the US version of The Office, typing "The Office (US)" will only get you a "nothing found!" message.
(I don't know the exact name of the US Office article.)

It's so clumsily worded, any website where anybody can post anything can be blocked.

just to name some of them
Facebook
Twitter
Wikipedia
YouTube
Google (possibly)
and any other sites the government finds to be controversial or not to their approval.
