The Statue

A few years ago, a mother and father decided they needed a break, so they wanted to head out for a night on the town. They called their most trusted babysitter. When the babysitter arrived, the two children were already fast asleep in bed. So the babysitter just got to sit around and make sure everything was okay with the children. Later that night, the babysitter got bored and went to watch TV, but she couldn't watch it downstairs because they did not have cable downstairs (the parents didn't want children watching too much garbage). So, she called them and asked them if she could watch cable in the parent's room. Of course, the parents said it was OK, but the babysitter had one final request… she asked if she could cover up the angel statue outside the bedroom window with a blanket or cloth, at the very least close the blinds, because it made her nervous. The phone line was silent for a moment, and the father who was talking to the babysitter at the time said, "..Take the children and get out of the house…we will call the police. We do not have an angel statue." The police found all three of the house occupants dead within ten minutes of the call. No statue was found.

Prologue
It’s the same the same thing almost every night. You lay in bed staring at your closet trying to fall asleep. But there is something about that area that prevents you from being able to feel safe even in your own home. The scary thing is that I have found out where that feeling comes from. That feeling you get may just be helping out another being in your home. Think about it, the more you lie there uncomfortably the longer you stay awake. The longer you stay awake the more tired you get. The more tired you get the heavier you sleep. What might you not notice while your in your subconscious time of sleep?

I have been pondering the thought of this “creature in the closet” a long time. I’m beginning to think the very creature of interest is starting to notice. The uneasy feeling before sleep has been getting progressively worse and worse every night. Which is why I have decided to write down all my findings while researching this closet creeper. Yes, that is what I will call it. Kyles research log on the closet creeper.

I have discovered my first finding on the closet creeper. Which is yes… He does come from the closet. It seems as though I go to sleep every night with a closed closet door, but awake with an opened one. If I am going to have any chance of catching the closet creeper in action I am going to have to train myself to sleep lighter causing my awaking to the quieter noises about the house. I may lose some sleep but hey, the thing keeps me up all night anyway.

The sleep training is beginning to work I find myself waking up to the noise of my dog drinking water or my cat running around the kitchen. The closet door continues to reopen every morning but the closet creeper must be super quiet! I am going to close all the doors in my house and tie a 12’’ string to each of them. This way I can find out where he has been in my home according to what strings are broken.

I woke up this morning and immediately checked all doors in the house. The surprising thing is that none were broken except for the closet doors’ string… This indicates that the closet creeper must be staying in my room the entire night. This kinda puts my mind on edge.

I woke up this morning feeling very violated. Like someone has opened up my brain and has seen all my memories. But I also remember something from last night. Right before I drifted away into sleep I saw a dark form approach me from the closet. But I was to far into my descent to sleep that I couldn’t reopen my eyes. I had the most intense feeling of vulnerability but couldn’t come to save myself. But for tonight I have made a plan. I will set the alarm on my phone to vibrate at 2:00 AM and will stick it in my pajama pocket. Hopefully it will wake me up quick enough to see whatever is in my room.

This has been horrible. The alarm plan worked perfectly, but what I didn’t know was that maybe I was better off not planning this whole thing. The phone buzzed at 2:00 AM precisely and I awoke wide eyed to see a dark face staring right at me. As soon as I came to my senses I began to scream at the top of my lungs. The dark figure scurried back to the closet and its feet made the noise as if a large beetle were running across my hard wood floor. I jumped out of bed and ran for the bathroom. I bent over to the sink and washed my face. While my eyes were closed I heard the buggish noise again and looked in the mirror to see it, or should I say him? Standing right behind me. His face, his face was indescribable. Like every small feature of his face was a part of my nightmares growing up as a child. I turned around and swung a punch but then realized there was nothing there. I turned around and looked in the mirror to see him again but this time right beside me. As if his face could get any more terrifying I think it did, another nightmare of mine added to the proverbial list on his face. As I write this I am Sitting in my living room watching TV trying to shake off this horrible incident.

I was watching TV trying to take my mind off the happenings tonight. Then suddenly everything shut off in the house except for one light in the corner. Staring at the reflection in the black screen I saw him again, staring at me from the light-less corner of the room, I shut my eyes and screamed LEAVE ME ALONE! I opened my eyes to see that the remaining light flashed off and I could see nothing in the TV screen, but darkness. There was the bug like noise again and the light came back on to reveal him sitting beside me. I jumped of the couch and ran a quick circle in the room and dashed to the nearest enclosed area, the basement. These are my last efforts to record what may happen next for he may find out how to turn off my laptop.

After several minutes of contemplating my thoughts the lights started flashing. I could hear much noise and through the bursts of light I could see boxes moving and being pushed over. I fear I have learned to much about this creature and he wants my findings to never reach the eyes or ears of any other human. I do not think he knows I have had a journal the whole time. I warn whoever is reading this to skip the reading now and get out of the house. For if your are reading this you are in my house. And if you are in my house he is watching you. I fear that there must be a closet creeper for every household in this world. And I pray for those of you reading this because he now knows you know about him. Watch your back my friend.

Mother and father get little tired from building Communism, so they want to go to Moscow to buy vodka. They call most trusted babysitter. When babysitter arrives, children already sleep in beds. Babysitter just sits around and make sure everything good with children. Later that night, babysitter gets bored and goes to read Marx, but she can’t read downstairs because there’s no electricity (parents dodn’t want children reading Marx all night long). So, she calls parents and asks if she can get candles to read Marx in their room. Of course, the parents say it okay, but babysitter has one final request. She ask if she could cover up Lenin statue outside the bedroom window with blanket or cloth, because it makes her nervous. Phone line is silent for moment, and father who say, "Take children and get out of house. We will call milita. We do not have Lenin statue." Militia find all three of house occupants dead because KGB kill them for trying to cover Lenin statue. Then militia arrest parents for not having Lenin statue. Such is life in Moscow.

In any city, in Motherland, go to any asylum you can get into. Go to the front desk and ask for man who calls himself "The Holder of the End". Should a look of puny fascist-like fear come over the strong communist worker, then you will be taken to a cell in the building. It will be in a deep hidden section of the building. The corridors will be silent like Spetsnaz killing a weak anti-communist soldier. You will begin to hear someone whispering to themselves, like brother Yuri after 3 bottles too much of glorious Russian vodka. It will be in a language you do not understand but even your courageous workers heart will know fear.

Should the talking stop at any moment, stop walking and yell "GREEDY CAPITALIST PIG! I WILL RAPE YOU LIKE SMALL CHILD." If you hear nothing then remove your trousers and enter the cell. If the whispering resumes like Russian workers after loss of only son then you may choose whether or not to remove pants.

When you enter the room you will see small weak man who has not had beets in some time. He will be speaking in a language not russian, beat him until he speaks the tongue of the motherland.

When he learns the great language you will say the bloodied pile that was once a man "What happens when they go together?"

The fragile man will look into your eyes and answer in great detail. Some have gone mad and lost hope in this great land, do not worry they are in gulag now. After he finishes forget what he has told you for it is capitalist propaganda, kill him and feed him to your children in a beet stew.
